Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3 cups fine grain sugar (baking sugar, not powdered)
- 5 large eggs
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325F. Grease a bundt pan (or two loaf pans) with shortening and lightly coat with flour.
- In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter with sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time to butter mix and blend just until combined. Add vanilla and lemon extracts.
- Add milk to wet mix and combine. Add dry mix to wet mix a little at a time until fully combined.
- Bake for 70 minutes, until the toothpick test is clean.
- Cool until just warm and remove from pan. Serve with whipped cream and fruit of choice.
